This led to Dr. Richard Devine to suggest it's a failed cosmetic procedure resulting from too much gel-like substance being injected into her face between the eyelid and the cheek. It's called tear trough filler and aims to combat sagging, crow's feet and bags under the eyes.
"What we're seeing here is tear trough filler gone wrong,' Dr. Levine said on TikTok in a viral video. "Complications like this happen when too much filler is injected, or when the type of product used attracts too much water – and so… the area becomes swollen.
"The filler is projecting so much that it is actually causing these shadows to form around the eyes and these deep ridges in the mid-cheek, which is actually making her look more tired and aged."
Another doctor, named Elie Levine, who works in New York City, also concurred and told the DailyMail.com, "She has some swelling under her left eye, and that is probably swelling after having fillers there at some point."
What is The Morning Show?
The Friends icon was in LA to promote the Apple TV+ show, which sees her co-star with Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell. The Morning Show delves into the culture of a network broadcast show and explores themes such as sexual misconduct.
Following seasons also focus on the Covid-19 pandemic, the January attack on the Capitol, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and racial inequality as it bids to explore key areas of modern society and current events.
Attracting a big audience, it was performing over five times better than any other Apple TV+ show until Ted Lasso, before it reclaimed the number one spot in December 2023 after the conclusion of the latter.
