Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in and produce the murder mystery film "The Wives," inspired by the dramatic dynamics portrayed in the "Real Housewives" franchise.
The script, written by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley, explores the lives of affluent women indulging in day-drinking, feuds, and extravagant lifestyles until a body turns up.
The project is a collaboration between Apple Original Films and A24, following their previous partnership on "Causeway."
Lawrence and Justine Ciarrocchi will produce the film under their banner, Excellent Cadaver Production, joined by Jeremy O Harris and Josh Godfrey's bb2 production banner.
The film is currently in pre-production, and specific plot details, director, additional cast, and production schedule have not been revealed.
