“Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney,” Vogue wrote via Instagram on October 20, 2024, adding that her representatives had confirmed she was expecting with the outlet.
Jennifer Lawrence Says Motherhood Has Changed How She’s Approaches Her Career
Jennifer has opted to not reveal many details about her son to the public, though she previously opened up about how motherhood has changed her career and how she chooses to spend her time.
“There’s no squeezing when you have a baby,” she told Cameron Diaz while they were in conversation for a 2023 article for Interview magazine. “There’s just home, and it’s the best. It definitely helps weed out projects: ‘Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Is this worth being away from my child for half the day?’”
Jennifer then pointed out that kids “have advantages and disadvantages when they’re born, all of them.” She continued, “The best thing I can do is just make sure he knows he’s loved, and that he’s our number one priority, and try to be a good example of kindness.”
“I’m sure there will be challenges specifically from my choices and my lifestyle, and we’ll both have to confront that and deal with it when that day comes,” Jennifer added.

Jennifer and Cooke were first romantically linked in the summer of 2018, and they got engaged in February 2019. The couple then took another major step in their relationship when they tied the knot in October 2019.
