The Batman star Robert Pattinson may potentially star opposite Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming thriller drama film titled, Die, My Love. The project will serve as the directorial comeback of Ratcatcher filmmaker Lynne Ramsey, after seven years since directing 2017’s You Were Never Really Here.
According to Deadline, Pattinson is currently in negotiations to join the cast of Die, My Love, which will be produced by award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Further details about his potential character are still being kept under wraps. Should his deal get finalized, this would mark Pattinson and Lawrence’s first collaboration with The Irishman director. Besides producing Die, My Love, a previous report suggested that Scorsese might also be looking to enlist Lawrence in his potential next movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, which will be a biographical drama about the life of legendary singer Frank Sinatra.
Die, My Love will be directed by Ramsey from a screenplay she co-wrote with Enda Walsh (Disco Pigs, Hunger). For her work on the acclaimed 1999 Glasgow-set drama, Ramsey won her first BAFTA award. The official logline for the film reads, "Set in a remote forgotten rural area, the story follows a mother (Lawrence) who struggles to maintain her sanity as she battles with psychosis." In addition to leading the cast, Lawrence has also signed on to serve as a producer along with Justine Ciarrocchi through their Excellent Cadaver production banner. Andrea Calderwood will also produce the project, with Black Label Media set to finance it.
