And Just Like That actor Chris Noth appeared to take sides in his former onscreen leading lady Sarah Jessica Parker's long-running feud with Kim Cattrall on Thursday.
The canceled 70-year-old – who faced a slew of sexual assault allegations in 2021 – was the only one from the Sex and the City universe to wish Kim a happy 69th birthday on her Instagram post.
The Liverpool-born, Canadian New Yorker was not only celebrating her birthday but also the August 1st cancellation of Michael Patrick King's dismally-reviewed continuation, which concluded last week after three seasons.
On Wednesday, Cattrall publicly 'liked' a comment from Instagram user @royal_j0j0, who declared: 'And just like that…. We all know [it] was Sam (Kim) who carried that entire franchise. You, embodied everything that is the essence of a strong, powerful, and vulnerable woman. We love and respect you.'
The Golden Globe winner was reportedly paid an eye-popping $1M to reprise her role as London-based PR mogul Samantha Jones for a 70-second cameo in the second season finale of AJLT, which was negotiated directly by HBO Max chairman-CEO Casey Bloys.
Indeed, Kim's presence was sorely missed considering Samantha was the funniest, sexiest, yet least judgmental of Carrie Bradshaw's (Sarah Jessica Parker) friends – even after her extramarital affair with then-married Mr. Big (Chris Noth).

Who could forget the touching scene when Jones spoonfed soup to the despondent author on her Mexican honeymoon (sans her flaky groom) in the 2008 flick Sex and the City: The Movie?
And yet, behind the scenes the bad blood between Cattrall and Parker erupted on Instagram in 2018 when she accused her of expressing faux concern over the death of her brother Chris.
Five months earlier, the Central Intelligence actress revealed they had 'never been friends' but rather 'colleagues.'
'This is really where I take to task the people from Sex and the City and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker, is that I think she could have been nicer. I really think she could have been nicer. I don't know what her issue is,' Kim lamented on Piers Morgan's Life Stories on ITV.
'The thing that still bothers me is this feeling of being in some way made to be the baddie. I never asked for any money, I never asked for any projects, to be thought of as some kind of diva is absolutely ridiculous.'
In 2022, the 60-year-old former child star admitted Cattrall's public comments were 'very painful' because it didn't reflect 'our experience' including Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.
'I've spent a lot of years working really hard to always be decent to everybody on the set, to take care of people, to be responsible to and for people, both my employers and the people that I feel I'm responsible for as a producer of the show,' Sarah told THR's Awards Chatter podcast.

'I don't even know if I'm ready to talk about it,' the two-time Emmy winner told THR.
'But I don't think… I wasn't reacting [to the scandal] as a producer. I should have worked on this because I'm just… it's just…'
Noth portrayed Carrie's late husband – financier John James Preston/Mr. Big – in all six seasons of HBO's Sex and the City, two forgettable film spin-offs, and the HBO Max revival.
AJLT producers made sure to remove all of the two-time SAG Award nominee's flashback scenes and ghostly scenes that had been shot before the scandal broke in 2021.
Chris denied sexually assaulting the two women who came forward to THR, instead claiming they were 'consensual encounters.'
The exposé lead to two more women coming forward with similar claims about Noth, who was promptly dropped by A3 Artists Agency and his character was killed off CBS' The Equalizer.
That same year, Parker confessed she had not spoken to Chris since his sexual assault allegations (pictured in 2021)

SJP, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis said in a statement in 2021: 'We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth'
They continued: 'We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it'
Chris – who still commands $350 on Cameo – scored his first post-scandal role as a horror fiction writer overcoming writer's block in Craig Singer's thriller comedy The Block – due out this fall – alongside Jackie Earle Haley and Elias Koteas
