Salma Hayek Is ‘Content’ With Her Figure But Misses Her ‘Old Body’: ‘Give It Back to Me’

Salma Hayek is content with the state of her curves.

“I don’t look at somebody else and say, ‘I want that body,’ or ‘I want a new body,’” Hayek, 58, told Marie Claire in a recent cover story. “But I do confess, I want the old body; the one I had at 25 and criticized and hated nonstop,” she shared, noting she was still content with how she currently looks.

Hayek continued, joking, “Oh, please, Lord Jesus, give it back to me. I apologize.”

The actress also opened up about how she stays in shape but admitted she doesn’t need to work out to maintain her enviable figure.

“Four times a year, I put music on and walk on my own treadmill,” she said, sharing that she also stays away from sugar because of her family’s history with diabetes. “Don’t ask me to run; my boobs are not made for that.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Hayek got candid about her famous curves. “There was a time when I was the sexy girl, but thank God age came and gave me the ability to expand to other territories,” she said, admitting she knows she’s still sexy. “Another calling that I have is to remind everyone that women are not disposable after a certain age in any department. We should battle that with all we’ve got.”

This isn’t the first time Hayek has gotten real about embracing aging gracefully. In June 2023, she took to Instagram to show off a fresh-faced selfie with her natural salt-and-peppered strands peeking through.

“Me waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning,” Hayek captioned the post.

Last March, she shared exactly how she hides gray hairs at home — without even having to dye her strands. “Look at all this white hair,” she wrote via Instagram, showing fans the silver sections. “When I’m on my own, I just put mascara [on it].”

Hayek then demonstrated how she uses the black pigment to blend her grays in with her natural hair color. “All the rebellious little ones that stick up not only go black, but they stay flat,” she explained as she slicked her tresses down with the wand.

Her hairstylist, Miguel Martin Perez, then popped into the video and shared that a root cover-up spray is another no-dye method to cover silver hairs.

With age, comes wisdom.
