Remi Bader’s Sam’s Club collection is everything fans wanted and more — inclusive, trendy, affordable and timeless, too.
The 29-year-old TikTok star exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about her Edited by Remi Bader line, featuring everything from sheer going-out styles to elevated loungewear and classic button-downs, all of which retail for under $30.
“For me, it’s really key to work with brands and retailers that are wanting to be inclusive and want the same things that I want out of something,” Bader explained to Us, noting that Sam’s Club is a client of her dad’s. “I’ve always thought of doing something with my dad, but I was like, ‘We definitely have two separate lanes.’ Finally, we’re like, ‘OK, maybe we can come together and do something.”
Bader went on to describe her line, which is filled with “chic affordable basics” that are made to be “mixed and matched.” A few of her favorite pieces include a transparent leopard mesh top, which she wore while celebrating the line’s launch, along with a dark denim skirt equipped with a sexy slit. “It’s so cute for fall where you could wear it with little knee-high boots,” Bader suggested.
She also told Us that the sweatsuit is sure to become her “go-to airport outfit.”
When it comes to date nights — which Bader joked she should go on more often — the fashion guru plans to style knee-high boots with “one of the skirts and maybe a bodysuit or one of the mesh tops.” “If we’re doing a little nicer of a date night, we could do either of the snakeskin or leopard mesh dresses or one of the cutout dresses.”
Bader is known for staying open with her followers, sharing details about her love life, and oftentimes will ask for their advice on what to wear. She takes her fans’ suggestions seriously, paying attention to what her followers suggest.
“I actually panic and edit and post the video before I leave for somewhere,” she told Us. “If the people are giving negative feedback — it’s not what you should look at all the time — but when I can, I’m actually like, ‘What move do I make right now? I, for the most part, take the positive advice and love some constructive criticism from my followers.”
Bader’s followers have even helped expand her wardrobe. “I was so stuck on form-fitting clothes for so long,” Bader told Us. “My followers were like, ‘We want some loose-fitting clothes and longer clothes, not just crop tops.’ It honestly made me open up to being like, ‘I need to start trying other styles and other things.’”
Bader elaborated by sharing a recent memory of her fans advising her on what to wear to Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour. “The other day, I posted a haul right before I was going to the concert, and I was like, ‘I actually don’t know what to wear,’” she admitted to Us. “I took a lot of advice from people, which helped.”
For the record: Bader ended up wearing a white baby tee with the phrase, “Boys Lie” in pink lettering to the show, a nod to Carpenter’s song, “Lie to Girls.” She elevated the crop top with a kicky pleated skirt, knee-high boots and a pink Prada purse.
Bader gushed to Us that she recently started wearing said knee-high boots after finding several pairs that fit her perfectly. “I was never able to wear [them] because I still have super wide calves,” she explained. “There are actually more wide-calf options out there [now.] So now for the first time ever I’m wearing more wide-calf boots!”
Although wide-calf boots are finally coming on the market, Bader found that many clothing retailers are getting rid of their plus-size options. “It’s really sad and it’s really frustrating for people of all different body types,” she said candidly, in fact, her Sam’s Club line is “almost unheard of” for options ranging from XXS through 6X.
“As some brands are [pulling plus size options], other brands follow, and that’s why it’s important to kind of do the opposite now,” Bader continued. “When I started on TikTok four years ago, it was trendy to have inclusive sizing — and that’s being pushed a little bit less now and people are just following the trend, which shouldn’t be the case.”
The influencer hopes that other brands will follow in her footsteps and be more open to “learning and listening to the customer. Adding: “All people, no matter what size they are, should have the opportunity to wear the same clothes across the board as someone another size is wearing.”
