Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston Have Wholesome ‘BFF’ Moment on The Morning Show Set: ‘Work Just Hits Different’

Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are enjoying some bonding time on set together!

Witherspoon, 48, shared a wholesome behind-the-scenes look at her experience filming season 4 of The Morning Show with longtime pal Aniston, 55, on Instagram on Friday, Nov. 22.

In the footage, Witherspoon and Aniston could be seen sitting together at a desk and striking the same poses. They were also captured holding on to each other in a studio production lot and blowing some kisses and waving as they drove around in a golf cart.

"Work just hits different with your bff 🫶," Witherspoon captioned the video.

The audio soundtracking the clip itself, meanwhile, also gave some insight into the pair's at-work friendship. "There's no greater gift in the world than having a coworker [who] you work with regularly [who] you can truly call one of your best friends [who] you just love," the narrator says. "Because it makes your day so much better. You're like, 'I can't wait to see that person. I cannot wait.' "

In The Morning Show, which first premiered in November 2019, Aniston plays the role of anchor Alex Levy while Witherspoon stars alongside her as Bradley Jackson. The duo first worked together on Friends two decades before in 1999, when Witherspoon appeared as Rachel's younger sister.

Since joining forces on the series, the actresses have raved about their onscreen and on set reunions, with Aniston telling Laverne Cox at the 2024 Emmy Awards pre-show that she and her costar "grew up together, and we were kids together, and now we're grown-ups together."

"Being able to produce the show with her … I couldn't ask for a better partner," she said, adding that the cast is comprised of a "wonderful group of people" who are "really lucky."

"There's a no a—— policy," Aniston added when told that fellow costar Jon Hamm described the set as an "amazing" environment himself. "Oh yeah, no no. No room for that," she further explained.

Back in July, Aniston announced that she began filming the series' fourth season alongside Witherspoon and Tig Notaro, as they showed off their scripts in an Instagram photo.

"Let @themorningshow season 4 games begin 🥳 Here we come! ❤️👏🏼👏🏼❤️🥂,” Aniston captioned the image, which featured the three actors in matching denim.

The Apple TV+ series — which follows the fictional news network UBA and also stars Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass, among others — earned an impressive 16 nominations overall ahead of the 2024 Emmy Awards.

Greta Lee, Holland Taylor, Nicole Beharie and Karen Pittman were also among the names recognized for their work on the show, which has taken home four total Emmys since 2020.
