Ray J is one of several celebrities who have publicly celebrated Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial verdict, but he believes Diddy should have been found not guilty of all charges.
Diddy Combs was found guilty of prostitution charges but was acquitted of the most serious charges, sex trafficking and racketeering.
“Yes, the big charges got dropped,” Ray J says in the clip. “No, [Diddy] should have been cleared of all things—everything that was on the paper,” he added.
“I really think he’s gonna get out today, he should get out today on bail,” Ray J said. “I just feel like he’s coming home, he’s going to Miami.”
Diddy is awaiting sentencing while in jail after a judge denied his request for bond. The judge scheduled a remote hearing for next Tuesday to handle the sentencing scheduling.
Diddy’s attorney has already shared that they would like to speed up the sentencing schedule as much as possible.
Diddy’s attorney, Teny Geragos, issued a statement proclaiming his innocence after the verdict.
“I also have been saying this since the beginning of this case: Sean Combs has not sexually assaulted anybody. I’ve been saying this for months. We’ve said it with each lawsuit that came out. That was proven true. The media got it wrong about Sean Combs every single day for nearly two years,” she said.
“He has not sexually assaulted anybody, certainly hasn’t sex trafficked anybody and the jury found that today,” she added.
