“One of the best bloopers of all time”: Jennifer Aniston Crying After We’re The Millers Cast Surprised Her With FRIENDS Intro Will Always Be Wholesome to Watch

Jennifer Aniston got pranked by her costars in the 2013 film We’re The Millers after they played the theme song of FRIENDS while the cameras were rolling. The actress, known for portraying Rachel Green in the famed sitcom, seems to recall her memories of the show upon hearing the iconic song.

For someone who worked in a television series for ten years, it would be challenging to separate herself from her onscreen character, at least for the audience who watched and followed her through the years.

Jennifer Aniston’s Reaction After Costars Pulled A FRIENDS Prank On Her

We’re the Millers is a 2013 comedy-crime film helmed by Rawson Marshall Thurber which saw Jennifer Aniston take on a different role as a stripper posing as Jason Sudeikis’ character’s wife. The film was a major commercial hit, earning over $269 million against a measly budget of $37 million.

One wholesome blooper scene proved how the cast members enjoyed their time together. Sudeikis and the director, including Will Poulter and Emma Roberts, pranked Aniston by playing I’ll Be There For You by The Rembrandts, the theme song of Friends instead of TLC’s Waterfalls. Aniston was shocked upon hearing the iconic music, and based on her expression alone, she was clearly flooded with memories from her time filming the sitcom. As the group started jamming to the song, the actress couldn’t help but hide her face as she felt emotional.

The blooper scene was part of the movie’s outtake as shown in the end credits. Thurber told HuffPost Entertainment how much Aniston loved the prank. “You see her reaction on camera – it’s kind of begrudging laughter, but she was a really good sport about it,” he said. The filmmaker revealed she poked him and Sudeikis in the ribs and told them they got her with that one prank.

Thurber noted he was quite worried if Aniston would be amused with the joke. Fortunately, she loved it and it has become one of the most wholesome outtakes from the film. “It wouldn’t be in the movie if Jen wasn’t happy with it,” the director quipped.

For Aniston, the NBC show remains a significant part of her life. She recalled her first day on set and how “it was just magic,” she told People. The series celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and yet, it continues to touch the lives of both old and new fans, especially the younger generation.

The sitcom concluded in 2004 after ten seasons, but the cast members remained in contact with each other. In fact, they held a televised reunion in 2021. FRIENDS took up a huge chunk in Aniston’s life so that’s why she couldn’t hide her emotions after hearing the theme song again.

We’re The Millers is available to watch on Netflix. FRIENDS is streaming on HBO.
