“Not a chance in hell. I wouldn’t do that”: Kaley Cuoco Denied Having Any ‘Freaky’ Fun With Johnny Galecki While Filming The Big Bang Theory Despite Her Obsession With Him

The Big Bang Theory completely transformed the sitcom genre when it premiered in 2007. The fans got a closer look at the lives of four geeky but incredible scientists and their attractive neighbor, Penny. Though there were other equally entertaining plots, the relationship between Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) was one of the most beloved.

While the characters got their happy ending in the show, the actors on the other side dated for a couple of years before splitting up (2008-2010). But the book ‘The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive Inside Story’, released during the 15th anniversary of the show in 2022, detailed some not-so-known moments between Cuoco and Galecki.

Kaley Cuoco denied having any intimate encounters with Johnny Galecki on set

While Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki broke up almost 14 years ago, they still hold a close friendship with each other. It was solely because of this connection that they revealed several intimate details about their relationship in the book ‘The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive Inside Story’ (via Vanity Fair). The actress recalled the moment show creator Chuck Lorre busted the duo hiding behind a car in the parking lot.

After watching Lorre, both Cuoco and Galecki hid behind the cars, but the creator had obviously spotted them. To this, Chuck Lorre responded that he couldn’t recall the scene, but it could have been his memory obstructing the stress of an on-set romance. After this, The Flight Attendant actress added:

That is such a Chuck answer! But yeah, we never even had [s*x] in our dressing rooms. Absolutely f*cking not. Not a chance in hell. I wouldn’t do that.

In the book, the actress denied having any intimate moments with the actor on set. However, during an interview on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast in 2020, she revealed how obsessed she was with Johnny Galecki during the show.

Further, Kaley Cuoco also added that the duo was madly in love with each other for the two years that they dated. But they were able to continue having a professional relationship, given the bond and mutual respect they had for each other.

Kaley Cuoco’s interesting relationship timeline

The actress got married for the first time to professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting in 2013 after only a few months of dating. But this marriage came quickly to an end, given that Cuoco filed for divorce just 21 months later, and the couple was officially divorced in 2016.

After this, the actress thought she wouldn’t get married again due to how her first marriage ended. In an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2018, she added:

I married someone the first time who completely changed. The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met. And that wasn’t my fault — that was his.

However, destiny had different plans, and following her breakup with Sweeting, she began dating equestrian Karl Cook. The couple got engaged on her 32nd birthday in 2017 and were married on June 30, 2018. At first, it appeared as though the couple was meant to be together. But even this union proved short-lived, as the actress filed for divorce in 2021.

Currently, the actress is in a loving relationship with Ozark star Tom Pelphrey, whom she met during the Ozark premiere in April 2022. The duo was introduced to each other by their shared manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph, and in Cuoco’s words, it was “love at first sight” for her (via USA Today). Since then, the couple has been going strong and welcomed a daughter named Matilda in March 2023.
