In a refreshingly candid interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Megan Fox broke her silence about the end of her engagement to rapper Machine Gun Kelly, revealing intimate details about their connection, her struggles with fame, and the truth behind her beauty regimen.
Fox, 37, confirmed that the highly publicized engagement to Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker) ended in 2023. While she declined to elaborate on the current nature of their relationship, Fox made it clear their bond remains deeply emotional and complex.
“He is what I refer to as my ‘twin soul,’” she said. “There will always be a tether to him, no matter what.”
Despite refusing to give a definitive answer about whether they’re still romantically involved, her comments suggested an enduring connection that transcends typical relationship boundaries. “I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be,” she added, “but I will always be connected to him somehow.”
A Relationship that Defied Convention
Fox and Kelly’s relationship has always been unconventional—and unapologetically intense. From drinking each other’s blood to sharing cryptic social media posts, the couple captured public attention from the start. Their engagement in January 2022 was followed by a series of eyebrow-raising revelations, including Fox's admission that they occasionally consumed small amounts of each other’s blood for “ritual purposes.”
She recently clarified those claims, likening the experience to kids pressing their thumbs together in a playground ritual when declaring themselves soulmates. Yet, the statement triggered a wave of rumors connecting her to Satanic or Illuminati practices—rumors Fox was quick to dismiss.
“It was just that one time I said I drink blood ritualistically, and everyone suddenly thought I was into Satanic rituals,” she said, calling the entire reaction “a very misunderstood thing.”
Fans began speculating about a breakup in early 2023 when Fox deleted all photos of Kelly from her social media and posted cryptic captions referencing infidelity—echoing themes from Beyoncé’s Lemonade. However, she later denied that cheating played any role in their relationship struggles.
Cosmetic Surgery and Body Image Confessions
Fox also opened up for the first time about her experience with cosmetic surgery, offering transparency in an industry often clouded by secrecy. She revealed she’s undergone three breast surgeries, the first in her twenties and the most recent completed not long ago. At around 23, she also had a rhinoplasty.
However, the actress did admit to one undisclosed procedure that she refuses to reveal.
“There’s one thing I had done that I’m gatekeeping because it was really good and it’s not a known plastic surgery,” she said. “People don’t even really know about it.”
Fox emphasized her hesitation around surgical procedures due to her fear of general anesthesia. She shared a ritualistic approach to surgery preparation, including asking her medical team to report any "bad omens" like owls or dead insects before going under.
She firmly denied undergoing popular cosmetic procedures such as face-lifts, buccal fat removal, liposuction, body contouring, or Brazilian butt lifts. For Fox, less is more when it comes to altering her appearance—especially given her history with body dysmorphia.
The Burden of Being a Sex Symbol
As one of Hollywood’s most enduring sex symbols, Fox says the label has brought more pressure than empowerment. She revealed that her physical image has often overshadowed the personal qualities she values most, including her intelligence and sense of humor.
“I never really saw myself that way,” she said. “You assign the character to me, and then you torture and demonize the character. You created her and then you murdered her.”
Fox has long battled with body dysmorphia—a psychological condition where a person becomes obsessed with perceived flaws in their appearance. She described the experience of being objectified as “haunting,” a distortion of her true identity perpetuated by fame and media scrutiny.
To prepare fans for the raw honesty in her Call Her Daddy appearance, Fox even issued a trigger warning on Instagram.
“If you don’t understand sardonic or self-deprecating humor or have a compulsive need to vomit negativity onto others, don’t bother watching this,” she wrote. “You’re gonna be really lost and overstimulated.”
Reinvention on Her Terms
Fox's interview was more than just an update on her love life—it was a reclamation of her narrative. Whether discussing the complexities of her relationship, the nuances of cosmetic enhancement, or the burden of beauty, she made it clear that she’s no longer interested in fitting into a mold built by others.
As she continues to navigate fame, Fox seems to be embracing a new phase—one defined not by labels, relationships, or rumors, but by authenticity and self-preservation.
