If you did not see Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's split coming, you are not alone — the Jennifer's Body star was apparently also taken aback by it.
According to an insider who shared some intel with People, Megan Fox was reportedly "blindsided" by the sudden break-up. “She's been distraught,” the source said, adding that “her priority” and “focus” are now set on preparing for the arrival of her baby.
News of Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's split broke on December 10, 2024, just short of a month after the two announced they were expecting their first baby together.
“They broke up in late November,” a source told Us Weekly. “They were trying to make it work again after the pregnancy, but they are both too hot-headed and fell back into their constant fighting. They can’t get on the same page and it’s not easy for them being together.”

“They love each other but don't have compatible personalities,” another source told People after the split, adding that this might not be the end for the two and their on-and-off relationship. “They're both hot-heads, dramatic and stubborn. When they're good together, they're great… They will very likely get back together. They've split in the past and then worked things out.” The source added that “they've both been ecstatic about the baby."

Earlier this month, Fox opened up about preparing to welcome the baby. "With this being child #4, I already have learned all the tricks to make my body feel well physically and mentally," she told People. "I am sleeping and exercising and sticking to my healthy diet and lifestyle, as always." She also added that her kids were “all super excited for another addition to the family and have promised to help out and pitch in.”

Last year, Fox opened up about suffering a miscarriage with Kelly. “I’ve never been through anything like that in my life. I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us, and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately… trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’”
Appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Fox opened up about her relationship with Kelly, admitting it was “not for public consumption.” She added: “[MGK is] my twin soul, and there will always be a tether to him, no matter what. I can't say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I'm not willing to explain.”
