Megan Fox Goes Haywire as a Self-Aware Android in Subservience Trailer

Megan Fox is a killer android in the upcoming film Subservience, which now has an official trailer and poster. From XYZ Films, the movie features Fox in one of her most unique roles yet.

Subservience is scheduled to hit digital and on demand outlets on Sept. 13, 2024. Ahead of the film's arrival, the trailer has been released, revealing a sneak peek at the film. In the movie, Fox is playing an android who's meant to provide a helping hand for a family in need. However, much like the titular doll in M3GAN – who just so happens to share a first name with Fox – the Subservience android becomes self-aware with horrific results. While Fox previously starred in the cult classic horror film Jennifer's Body, this just might be her creepiest role yet. Take a look at the new poster and trailer below.

The official synopsis for Subservience reads, "Megan Fox stars as Alice, a lifelike artificially intelligent android, who has the ability to take care of any family and home. Looking for help with the housework, a struggling father (Michele Morrone) purchases Alice after his wife becomes sick. Alice suddenly becomes self-aware and wants everything her new family has to offer, starting with the affection of her owner – and she’ll kill to get it."

The photos show both sides of Fox's Alice, from the benefits she provides to a family to the damage she can cause once the android goes berzerk.

Fox was last seen on the big screen in last year's Expend4bles, the fourth Expendables movie, providing her with another action movie role. She also appeared in the FXX sitcom Dave, playing herself in a 2023 episode of the TV series. Additionally, Fox also recently lent her voice and likeness to the Mortal Kombat 1 character Nitara. With Subservience bringing her back to films with darker themes, perhaps a sequel to Jennifer's Body could be what's next.

"I feel like that’s such a good representation of who I am in general,” Fox said of her Jennifer's Body role in a 2023 interview with WWD. “[B]efore she was turned into a demon and she became this Goth icon, [Jennifer] was this poppy, typical cheerleader, Forever 21 girl.”

Subservience will be released on digital and on demand on Sept. 13, 2024.
