Machine Gun Kelly is feeling a little sentimental this holiday season while navigating his split from Megan Fox.
“Give it to someone special,” Kelly, 34, captioned footage from his A Motown Christmas performance via his Instagram Story on Thursday, December 12. He added a bandaged heart emoji next to the simple message.
During the broadcast, which aired Wednesday, December 11, Kelly put a rock spin on “Last Christmas,” originally released by Wham! in 1984.
“Last Christmas, I gave you my heart / But the very next day, you gave it away,” Kelly sang, strumming a red electric guitar. “This year, to save me from tears / I’ll give it to someone special.”
Kelly’s social media message comes shortly after Us Weekly confirmed that he and Fox, 38, called it quits while expecting their first baby together.
“They broke up in late November,” a source exclusively told Us. “They were trying to make it work again after the pregnancy, but they are both too hot-headed and fell back into their constant fighting. They can’t get on the same page and it’s not easy for them being together.”
Fox and Kelly started dating in 2020 after meeting on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, getting engaged in January 2022. The duo experienced a series of ups and downs throughout their relationship, from planning a wedding to multiple breakups.
Fox revealed in November that she is pregnant with her and Kelly’s rainbow baby after previously suffering a miscarriage.
“It was very difficult for both of us,” Fox said of her fertility struggles on Good Morning America in November 2023. “It sent us on a very wild journey together and separately and together and apart … trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’”
Fox already shares three sons with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, while Kelly is the father of 15-year-old daughter Casie from a previous relationship. Kelly has also been excited to welcome the new baby.
“Isolating myself in the desert next week to restart this album from scratch,” he wrote via X on November 25. “When inspiration flows through me unblocked, we will reach the destination in no time. Don’t worry. After all, I’m about to be a dad again!”
Neither Fox nor Kelly have publicly addressed their most recent breakup, though a second source told Us that the pair could reunite again.
“Her pregnancy amid their relationship ups and downs isn’t a surprise. It’s amazing one day and bad the next,” the second insider told Us. “Colson has been really wonderful with her about it and the baby has brought them much closer together.”
