Love Is Blind Brings In Two Celebs For The Season 9 Reunion

The Love Is Blind Season 9 reunion came out this week, and lots of dirty laundry was aired between the cast. The participants of the reality TV show gave updates on their love lives, and, for some, news about starting families.

The special episode of the show clocked in at a whopping 73 minutes, and it was filled with more than just dramatic confessions. To make it more interesting, Netflix brought in not one, but two celebrity cameos to spice things up.

NBA Player Chris Paul Showed Up To Shoot Baskets

One of the show's Executive Producers, Ally Simpson, explained to People that they brought in NBA player Chris Paul to switch things up in the reunion. Two of the cast members, Kacie and Patrick, played a game of desktop basketball against each other while in the pods, and Chris appeared with a full-sized basketball net at the reunion, encouraging the two participants to have a shoot off once more.

Ally explained how Chris' reunion appearance came together:

Chris appeared at the reunion in a bright red sweater, joking that whoever made the most baskets between Kacie and Patrick would get to keep the engagement ring. Kacie ended up scoring more points, and Patrick really did end up giving his ex-fiancée the ring back.

Myles Smith Opened With A Musical Performance

The Season 8 reunion was the first time Love Is Blind included a musical performance at the reunion. Last season, Alex Warren performed his song "Ordinary," and this time around, producers wanted to kick off the reunion with an artist once again.

This time, Myles Smith took the stage with a full band to sing his hit "Nice to Meet You." As Myles sang, the hosts introduced the cast as they walked down a flight of stairs and took their seats before the cameras. Ally noted they chose Myles for Season 9 because they knew he'd bring good energy to the episode:

"We also felt like the song was something that just felt celebratory and a great kickoff to the reunion," Ally continued. "It's a song that's actually been out a little bit and continued to rise in the charts, and so we're excited to see if giving it this platform is able to give it a real push that I think it deserves. So we were grateful to get him in the end," she added.
