The Grammy Award nominee, 39, recreated her 2022 viral video as she threw a slice into the crowd while taping the season 22 finale of the ABC singing competition series.
'A pizza my heart will always be on the #Idol stage,' Perry captioned the video on Instagram.
In the clip, a fan tried to catch the slice before it dropped to the ground as Perry shrugged and danced away.
Some people in the comments section weren't so amused. 'Don't waste food,' wrote one follower.

Other fans noticed the clip was a nod to her 2022 appearance at a Las Vegas nightclub, where she infamously flung slices of pizza into the crowd on paper plates like a frisbee.

Blocker ultimately came in third, with Will Moseley as runner-up and Abi Carter winning season 22.
Perry previously announced she's leaving American Idol after seven seasons ahead of a 'very exciting year.'
'I think this probably will be my last show, my last season for Idol,' she said on Jimmy Kimmel Live at the time. 'I mean, I love Idol so much.
'It's connected me with, like, the heart of America, but I feel like I need to go out and feel that pulse,' added Perry.
