As kids, there was probably nothing we would've wanted more than to be a candy taste-tester, right? Everyone would love to get paid to try treats, there's just no two-ways about it!
The dream may be gone for us these days, but for our pups, that dream is very much alive. As of Thursday, June 13th, Kaley Cuoco announced that her company, Oh Norman! is hiring a dog for a very important position: the Chief Treat Officer. Kaley Cuoco is the face of the brand, and she let everyone know that Oh Norman! is hiring; they're looking for a dog to become their first ever Chief Treat Officer. Any dog can "apply" for the position, and the steps are pretty simple:
- Interested pet parents have until September 13th, 2024, to submit a one-minute clip of their pups.
- These videos may be shared across other social platforms by Oh Norman!
- The clip must be either submitted in Instagram DMs to Oh Norman! or sent in through the application form on the website.
- Doing both won't "increase" your chances of being chosen.
- You must be 18 years or older, or have a parent/guardian's permission to apply.
The chosen pup's human contact will be notified in October, when their contract will start. The winning pup will be paid a salary of $10,000 for the year as a 1099-contractor, which will need to be handled accordingly by their human. Once the position starts, the pup will receive the full line of Oh Norman! products as well as new products in advance of launch to test out (on video, of course!).

The brand was founded by actress and animal advocate Kaley Cuoco in 2023, and it is named for her first-ever solo rescue dog: a white and brown Pit Bull mix. Norman was adopted at 2 years old from a shelter in California and lived to be 14 years old, passing in 2021. Oh Norman! also isn't the first company whose name the pup inspired: Cuoco founded Yes, Norman Productions a few years before then!
Oh Norman! strives to create a line of pet products that are ethically sourced, eco-friendly, good for dogs, and mission driven: a portion of every purchase goes to shelters around the country and Oh Norman! is actively working with shelters all over to increase adoptions and decrease euthanasia. That definitely sounds like a brand I'd let any of my dogs test out treats for anyday!
