Kaley Cuoco, known for her performances in shows like The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant, welcomed her daughter Matilda with her partner Tom Pelphrey in 2023 and the couple recently announced their engagement.
While they have been enjoying their life, there have been some unpleasant moments that Cuoco has to face. The actress reflected on one such moment in an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as she recalled the incident on her first flight with her daughter that left her feeling furious.
Kaley Cuoco Recalled Frustrating Incident During First Flight with Daughter Matilda
In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kaley Cuoco opened up about her experiences as a first-time mother. The actress shared heartwarming moments of her daughter Matilda while also addressing “a lot of judgments” she encountered along the way.
Further reflecting on the same, she shared an incident that happened during her first flight with her daughter. The Meet Cute actress shared that she was “terrified” by the thought of taking Matilda on a plane.
“We were very terrified,” she said before adding, “I thought, ‘What do we do?’ We have to bring her sound machine on the plane. It’s the only thing she can go to sleep to.” While her daughter had a hard time on the plane, she and her partner, Tom Pelphrey, were able to get her to sleep.
However, just as they were exhaling with relief, Cuoco recalled, “The steward comes over and he was like, ‘Hey, one of the passengers would love if you would turn the sound machine off.'” She shared that the passenger who made the request was sitting in front of them.
“The lady turns around and she goes, ‘Oh, so your daughter does know how to smile!” she said before adding that the remark left her furious. Recalling her reaction to the woman’s comment, she said,
It was in that moment I understood why women end up on Dateline. I could have strangled her… I could have thrown that woman off the plane.
The Emmy-nominated actress further shared her frustration with how people criticize or usually get upset with babies on flights, stating that she finds it unreasonable that some people blame or get angry at babies for being disruptive.
Kaley Cuoco Shares Plans For a Second Baby Ahead of Wedding
Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey announced their engagement in August. And the actress shared that they are in no rush to walk down the aisle and could even welcome a second child before their marriage.
The actress told People in a recent interview that they “haven’t started planning anything yet” and that “maybe another kid will have to come first.” She further stated, “I have four dogs now, and a [1-year-old baby], and a Tom — it’s a lot.”
Talking about her daughter, she reflected on her playful behavior while sharing her toddler’s energetic and adventurous personality. Cuoco shared,
She is running around. She is screaming. She eats everything. She loves being outside. She loves her dad — She’s kind of like a boy. She loves airplanes and monster trucks, helicopters. Anything in the sky she thinks is the most amazing thing.
“And she loves horses, so that’s great,” Cuoco, who herself is passionate about equestrianism, shared enthusiastically. The actress announced her engagement to the Ozark alum Tom Pelphrey earlier in August. The couple has been together for more than two years after they initially met in 2022.
