Kaley Cuoco says it took her two months to figure out that a PLANT was making her dog King ‘violently ill’: ‘We are so grateful he is OK’

Kaley Cuoco is breathing a sigh of relief as her dog King survived a mysterious illness and emergency surgery.

And now the mom of Mathilda – who stepped out with her partner to see Beetlejuice the Musical last week –  has a dire warning to 'all my dog lovers out there' on her Instagram Stories.

'This is a foxtail,' the Big Bang Theory alum, 37, wrote over an image of the plant laying on her leg.

'They are extremely dangerous to animals esp dogs. We spent the last 2 months trying to figure out what was wrong [with] our King,' she continued.

'He had been violently ill and nothing was working,' she continued. 'Many vet appts, surgery and endless meds. Finally found a specialist who found 2 of these in his body days away from piercing his heart !!'

In the second photo in the IG Story, she posted a photo of King showing his shaved body and stitches.

'He is doing soooo much better but as u can see he has tons of stitches from a super intense surgery …,' she wrote over the photo.

'Also please note these must be surgically removed. They do not heal on their own!'

The final photo is of the cute chihuahua wrapped in surgical gauze and looking intensely at something just out of the frame of the picture.

'Take care of your pets or don't have one!' she wrote. 'We are so grateful he is OK and will live a long happy life!

The Flight Attendant actress is a well-known animal lover and has several rescue dogs in addition to King –  Zeus, Ruby, Shirley and Miss Opal, as well as horses and farm animals.

In May, Cuoco and her partner Tom Pelphrey, 40, said goodbye to their dog Dump Truck.

The Ozark alum posted a loving tribute to the dog they also called 'Dumpy' and 'Dumps.'

'Heavy heart today. We had to say goodbye to one of our pack. DUMP TRUCK aka Dumpy was kind of a legend,' he wrote. 'He ignored me for the first six months I knew him. But slowly, he let me carry him. Pet him. Give him 2nd dinner. Give him 3rd dinner.

'He would stay up late with me and we would do midnight snack. And by the end he was my guy – and he let me hold him and cuddle him and he always gave me kisses,' Pelphrey wrote.

'He really was a special dog. What he lacked in size he more than made up for in personality. And in a house FULL of personality- Dumpy was [crown emoji].'

And two years ago, Cuoco said goodbye to her beloved dog Norman at the age of 14.
