Kaley Cuoco, Sam Claflin, Karin Viard & Matthias Schweighöfer Set For ‘Vanished’; AGC Launching Hot TV Package For Series Mania Ahead Of France Shoot

EXCLUSIVE: The Flight Attendant and The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco is set to lead buzzy series package Vanished, which AGC Television is launching for this week’s Series Mania in Lille, where it’ll likely be the hottest brand new show on sale.

Starring in the suspense drama alongside Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Cuoco will be Sam Claflin (Peaky Blinders), three-time Cesar winner Karin Viard (The Bélier Family) and German actor Matthias Schweighöfer (Army of the Dead).

The logline reads: When a romantic getaway to Paris takes a dark turn with the sudden disappearance of her boyfriend Tom (Claflin) aboard a train to the south of France, Alice (Cuoco) is plunged into a web of intrigue and danger, uncovering shocking secrets about the man she thought she knew.

Producer, director and Ealing Studios owner Barnaby Thompson (Pixie) is directing ahead of production beginning April 28 on locations in Paris and Marseilles. Stuart Ford’s AGC Television, whose credits include Those About to Die and The Tindler Swindler, will fully finance and co-produce; a co-production deal with Germany’s ARD Degeto is already at an advanced stage.

The series is created by David Hilton and Preston Thompson, written by Preston Thompson (Pixie) and executive-produced by James Clayton (Slow Burn Entertainment), David Kosse (Rockwood Pictures), Barnaby Thompson (Fragile Films), Preston Thompson and AGC’s Stuart Ford, Lourdes Diaz and Miguel A. Palos Jr.

John Bernard, CEO of Peninsula Film will provide production services in France. AGC’s VP Legal & Business Affairs Conor McElroy negotiated the deal on behalf of AGC.

Cuoco can be seen starring in the second season of Peacock’s dark comedic thriller Based on a True Story. Prior to that, she received back-to-back Golden Globe, Critics Choice and Emmy nominations for The Flight Attendant.

The Hunger Games and Peaky Blinder star Claflin’s recent work includes Prime Video series Daisy Jones & the Six, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. Up next, he will star in Amazon limited series Lazarus.

French vet Karin Viard, a 13-time Cesar nominee, is well known for movies including Polisse, La famille Bélier, Jalouse and Chanson Douce. In 2024, she starred in the series Dans l’ombre and has Fils De and La Maison Des Femmes upcoming.

Schweighöfer, one of Germany’s leading actors, is known for Valkyrie alongside Tom Cruise and Kenneth Branagh, the Milli Vanilli biopic Girl You Know It’s True, Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. The multihyphenate produced, directed and starred in the first German-language Amazon Original Series You Are Wanted and directed, produced and starred in Army of Thieves, the prequel to Army of the Dead.
