Kaley Cuoco plays a new mom on  season two of Based on a True Story with Chris Messina as she approaches second Mother’s Day with daughter Matilda

Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina looked pretty haggard while in character on the set of their show Based on a True Story in Los Angeles Saturday.

The actress, 38, who recently sold her lavish nine-acre estate, was costumed like a harried new mom in a brown sweater, gray sweatpants and slide sandals with socks.

The former Big Bang Theory bombshell appeared to be wearing minimal makeup and her long, dark blonde hair was styled in a messy ponytail/bun combo as she carried a prop in a baby carrier representing her character's new baby.

Messina, 49, appeared exhausted as he carried large canvas bag, wearing a long sleeve red t-shirt with jeans and white Nike sneakers.

The pair have been shooting season two of the Peacock show, which focuses on a couple who try to capitalize the public's obsession with true crime by launching their own podcast.

The actors appeared to be in a heated conversation before sharing a kiss for the camera.

Cuoco seemed to be missing her own little one while at work.

'See you soon my perfect little bub,' the doting mom wrote on a snap of her 13.5 month old daughter Matilda in her Instagram Stories.

The Flight Attendant star shares the tyke with partner Tom Pelphrey, 41.

In an interview with US Weekly, the now-seasoned mom, who will celebrate her second Mother's Day Sunday, called Matilda 'the best thing ever.'

She said the biggest lesson she learned as a new mom is 'that you’re not important.

'Whatever a one-year-old wants, they want. Don’t take it personally when they want Dada over Mama all day long. Doesn’t mean anything. Don’t take things personally. I learned that very quickly.'

Both parents have returned to work recently, which can be difficult. 'But we are so happy to be working,' she said. 'We’re happy to be in love. Our baby is, like, the best thing ever. Life is really good. We feel very blessed.'

When Matilda turned one March 30, Cuoco shared a retrospective her of first year of life in a sweet video on social media with Gabby Barrett's Growin’ Up Raising You playing beneath the pictures and videos.

'Matilda you are 1! Best year of our lives .. you are a gift from above and have brought the deepest perfect joy to our entire family!' the proud mama wrote.

'Dada and I love you more than we could possibly ever explain,' she told the little one.

'I cannot wait to see who you become, but for now, please stay my precious 1 year old forever.  @tommypelphrey thank you for being the best daddy (besides my own) the world has ever seen. She’s perfect. Happy birthday, angel girl!'

The proud papa was not to be outdone and shared his own tribute using family photos and writing, 'Happy First Birthday my angel.'

'You’ve turned the upside down and the inside out and my heart grew a hundred sizes and left my body for good.'

Cuoco said it was 'love at first sight' when she met Pelphrey in April 2022 after being  fixed up by their mutual manager. They went official with their relationship one month later and revealed they were expecting Matilda in October 2022.
