Actress Kaley Cuoco took to Instagram to share the news of the passing of her boyfriend Tommy Pelphrey's beloved German Shepherd, Blue, on Wednesday.
She posted heartwarming pictures of the 'gentle' dog as she penned a long homage to him expressing her grief as she mourns having to put him down.
'I have cried harder over the loss of this gorgeous creature than I have in long time,' she said in a snippet of the caption.
The post went viral with her celebrity pals as they took to the comment section to support her and Pelphrey during this difficult time.

She penned a long homage to him expressing her grief as she mourns him
'I'm crying for @tommypelphrey, the relationship he had with Blue was so special. They were quite the duo. Traveling the country as a team… job to job then driving home to California,' she added.
The actress noted that Blue was more of a family member than a pet as she reminisced over the time spent with him in life.
And although all dogs loved her, she struggled to connect with Blue at first. But, he ended up being one of her greatest companions.
'After some time Blue finally realized we were a family and we were all sticking together. Something changed . He was amazing . Protective of me and the rest of our pup crew, always on guard. I felt so safe home alone with him,' the actress penned.
The Camarillo, California native, who rescue dogs of her own, feels that having pets are an important responsibility that teaches love and care.
'We are so lucky to be loved by animals. They are gifts from above and we have been given the honor to cherish them on this earth. To be their voices. To teach our children how to treat them and how to love them. Blue, it was an honor to be your second favorite human down here on earth,' she finished.
She was not alone however, actor Taylor Lautner chimed in adding his own message of support saying, 'Sending you both all the love in the world.'
Mulholland Drive star Justin Theroux wrote, 'Oh no… I am so sorry. What a tough year,' adding a heart emoji.
Tommy Pelphrey wrote his own tribute to Blue who he adopted late 2018, 'I had to say goodbye to my guy. I got Blue on Xmas eve, 2018. Blue had been at a rescue for over a year, and in that time had been adopted and returned at least 3x, fostered and returned at least as many. He was living in a kennel and 'too aggressive' to have a home.
'He was by my side the entire time (literally)… protecting me and guiding me into a new, fuller life. I guess that's what Shepherds do. I held him at the end,' he added.
He finished the lengthy caption with, 'I'm heartbroken. I'm full of gratitude to God for every second with one of His angels.'
