If you have a dog who loves treats (that means all dog owners everywhere), you'll be excited to know that your dog could be the first-ever Chief Treat Officer for Oh Norman! Founder and actress Kaley Cuoco announced the opportunity on Instagram on Thursday, June 13th and people are already very excited about it.
Kaley is very much looking forward to meeting her new CTO. She explains that Oh Norman! needs to know what dogs want, so they need that is willing to taste test treats and play with toys. Sounds like an amazing gig to me!
Although the video has been up for less than 24 hours, the video has been viewed more than 26 thousand times and people have already left nearly a thousand comments about the Oh Norman! opportunity. There were some funny comments, like this one that @natgirsberger left, "Do dog-identifying cats make the cut?" @theashleighdunn said, "I’ve been telling my dogs they need to get a job!" I tell mine that too! Another commenter admitted, "For that amount of money, I would be glad to wear a dog suit and eat dog treats."
How To Apply to Be the Oh Norman! Chief Treat Officer
Oh Norman! was inspired by Kaley's dog Norman, who passed away in 2021. The actress launched the line in the fall of 2023, which includes affordable, eco-friendly, and ethically sourced products for dogs. What's cool about buying from Oh Norman! is that a portion of every purchase goes directly to rescuing dogs. It's a good company doing good things and offering one lucky dog an amazing opportunity to make 10 grand!
This reminds me a lot of Petsmart's Chief Toy Tester opportunity! Applying is super easy, and I'm sure people are going to get very creative. Simply send your dog’s short video application telling them why they deserve to be the Oh Norman! CTO. "Video applications up to one minute in length will be accepted now until September 13, 2024 through DM to @ohnorman or by using the CTO application on our website."
I headed over to the website, and they have a full page dedicated to the CTO application process that lists the job description, job qualifications, 'ResPAWnsibilities', and of course salary info. The CTO will be paid a $10,000 annual salary (it's a one-year position) and receive the full line of products. They also mentioned that this is a limited 1099 contractor role, so your pooch wouldn't be an actual employee, but a contractor instead (meaning your solely responsible for paying all taxes on the money).
Another commenter begged Kaley to post some of the videos and she replied, "It will be a real treat to get to watch all the submissions! We’ll share as many as we can!" I'm looking forward to watching these! I can't wait to see what people come up with!
