Kaley Cuoco and fiancé Tom Pelphrey reveal they’re in couples therapy as they raise their 19-month-old daughter

We all could use a little help.

Kaley Cuoco has revealed she and fiancé Tom Pelphrey are in couples therapy as they raise their young daughter.

And Cuoco, 38, thinks all couples should follow her lead.

The “Big Bang Theory” star spoke about parenting on the Nov. 25 episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

“It’s a wild ride, Jimmy,” Cuoco told Fallon of raising her and Palphrey’s nineteen-month-old, Matilda. “I mean, it’s an adventure. 19-months-old. It’s a lot.”

“It’s a wild thing, I was trying to explain to our couple’s therapist the other day why I’m so tired,” the “Based on a True Story” actress continued, eliciting laughs from the audience.

Cuoco then paused and turned to address the audience directly. “You should all be in couples therapy, just FYI,” she said with a hint of admonishment.

Returning to her original story, the two-time Emmy nominee recalled telling her couples therapist that “taking care of a 19-month-old is like taking care of your drunk best friend every day.”

She explained, “They’re crying when they don’t get what they want. You’re making sure they make it to the bathroom, or you’re cleaning their throw-up from whatever. And they’re out of their minds, and you’re making sure they don’t die all day long.”

“And then they black out, and you’re, like, ready to die, and they wake up and they’re like, ‘What’s for breakfast?’” she continued.

“And you’re like, ‘What?’ I’m like, ‘Do you even know what happened last night?’”

She added, “Am I right, though? It’s insane. And it happens every day … It’s a real joy.”

On March 30, 2023, Cuoco and Pelphrey, 42, celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Matilda. A year earlier, in March 2022, the pair confirmed they were an item.

A little over three months ago, on Aug. 15, Cuoco revealed that she and Palphrey were engaged. The star of “The Flight Attendant” showed off her ring in a selfie of her and the “Ozark” actor posted on her Instagram story. “Amazing weekend,” she wrote in a caption across the snap.

When it comes to their wedding, Cuoco and Palphrey told People in September that they “haven’t started planning anything yet,” even suggesting that “maybe another kid will have to come first.”

“We’re gonna go way out of order,” she told the magazine. “That’s our plan.”

Cuoco recently spoke about online critics and the scrutiny she has received over her “parenting style,” calling for an end to mom-shaming.

“It’s just this business, it’s this life. It is what it is. But yeah, we got to stop [with] the shaming,” she told E! News.

“Everyone’s got something to say about everything. There’s no change before I had kids, to having kids, to where I am in my life.”

She added, “Every mom I can guarantee is doing the best they can.”
