Jennifer Lawrence’s favourite coat

I don’t actually know if this is Jennifer Lawrence’s favourite coat, but she’s been papped in it twice this month and it’s not exactly low profile. Given that she doesn’t usually want to be a heatscore when she’s out and about in New York City running her errands, the fact that she’s wearing it again today, knowing she’s way more conspicuous in it than she would be if she was just in a boring black one, tells me she really enjoys it. We can all relate to this, I think. Sometimes there’s a coat that we have to live in, day after day.

In other JLaw news, it was confirmed the other day that two of the projects in development that she’d been attached to, The Mob Girl and Sue, are “not …slated to go forward at this time”. This obviously doesn’t mean that JLaw is hurting for work, of course not, she’s JLaw. But that a lot of things have to come together to make a movie. It’s not just about – oh, look, we have a big star, a recognisable name, no problem, shoot, post, release, the end. Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio have been trying to make Devil in the White City for over a decade. And while the most recent update on that is that it’s back on track, they don’t have a script ready and Leo has two other commitments he has to fulfill before he might be able to get to it so who knows how many more delays will come up.

Jennifer Lawrence, an Oscar winner, and a very big deal, can’t will a movie forward. I say this because, ahem, there are some people out there gossiping about some lawsuits and one person trying to “steal” a sequel from someone else who are seriously and amateurishly oversimplifying the process of moviemaking.

What else happened today…

Three people today have asked me if I’ve watched Apple Cider Vinegar, maybe because I do love shows about scammers. This is the series about the woman who claimed that apple cider vinegar cured her brain cancer. I haven’t yet started Apple Cider Vinegar, not sure if I’m into it because I usually prefer the documentaries over the scripted versions of these stories but I did want to know what happened to the woman which Dustin Rowles explains at Pajiba. That said, last year I was really into a podcast called Scamanda about another woman who faked cancer for years and now ABC is making it into a docuseries. This one I will definitely watch. (Pajiba)

Rachel Zegler is, indeed, per the Fug Girls, wearing a fancy apron. I don’t hate it, but it would probably be better in a different colour. (Go Fug Yourself)

This video of Meghan Markle snow-tubing is adorable. I would be exactly like her – do I have to do this? Why am I doing this? What’s also cute is Prince Harry laughing in the background. But the cutest? Her skin is so f-cking gorgeous. (Celebitchy)

Is everyone all caught up on Severance? Every episode is such a mindf-ck and I’ve been watching with someone who has threatened to quit the show at least three times. During the last episode that just aired, season two episode four, right after we had to hear about Dieter jerking off into the trees, Jacek declared that he was done, while predicting the twist that happened at the end. And then when he was right, of course, he wanted to keep going. The vanity! Anyway, as Rachel Leishman writes, Severance is Adam Scott’s best work. And she’s thanking Ben Stiller for pushing him there. (The Mary Sue)

I’m kinda infringing on MC’s territory here but this is the song that’s been happening today in my life, “Good Looking Adjectives”. My colleague, Tyrone Edwards, ETALK anchor, was bumping it from morning to afternoon. We should all try to be this energy.
