Fans of Jennifer Lawrence are full of praise for her performance in a X-rated 2023 comedy – with some going as far as to say she 'steals' the show.
Following her hiatus after the release of 2019's Dark Phoenix, Lawrence certainly came back with a bang.
The film in question follows Lawrence as a down-on-her-luck Uber driver, Maddie, who loses her most important item for her job – her car.
Facing bankruptcy, she decides to take up a monetary offer by 19-year-old Percy's (Andrew Barth Feldman) parents to coax him out of his shell before he heads off to college.
The trailer was a huge hit with social media users – with some even being reminded of 90's comedies gone by.
Despite some initial criticism towards the age-gap presented in the film, No Hard Feelings was well liked by fans and critics, with a score of 70 percent for critics on Rotten Tomatoes, joined by a 87 percent fan score.
As well as Lawrence and Feldman, the cast also features Laura Benanti, Natalie Morales, Scott MacArthur, and Matthew Broderick, and a pre-The Bear breakout role for Ebon Moss-Bachrach – who filmed this shortly after the release of season one of the cooking show.
No Hard Feelings originally released in late June of last year, though it's since widened its reach recently thanks to a release on Netflix in the US.
While the talk surrounding the movie was mostly around the, erm, nudity, many fans praised one particular scene which actually had nothing X-rated in it.
Jennifer Lawrence in No Hard Feelings (Sony Pictures Entertainment)
Midway through the flick, Maddie and Percy agree to go on a date to make up for the proms they both skipped when back at high school.
As they are seated together in a posh restaurant, Maddie notices a piano in the centre of the dining room.
She quickly pressures Percy to go and play something for her.
He decides to play a slowed-down version of Daryl Hall and John Oates’ 'Maneater', a song that Percy had previously told Maddie used to scare him as a child.
When he returns to his seat after performing the track, a shocked Maddie tells him: "What the f***? That was unbelievable. How did you even know that song?”
And it's safe to say many on social media had a similar reaction to the scene, with many flocking to Twitter to give their reactions.
Loads of people thought Lawrence 'stole' the scene (Sony Pictures)
"Maneater piano scene in no hard feelings >>> ," one person penned.
A second added: "You’ll probably hear a lot of chatter about THAT scene of Jennifer Lawrence on the beach, but THIS scene stole the movie for me. It’s pure cinema."
While a third remarked: "No Hard Feelings surprised the hell outta me. I loved it. And that piano cover of Maneater… perfect."
