Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone Step Out for Dinner in New York City with Friends — See the Photos

Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone are taking a bite out of the Big Apple.

The two Academy Award-winning actresses stepped out with friends on Wednesday, April 9, where they were spotted walking along a street in Manhattan.

For their dinner outing at the Jane Hotel in New York City's West Village, 34-year-old Lawrence — who recently welcomed her second child with husband Cooke Maroney — rocked an eclectic ensemble of a kimono-style red patterned jacket over a black top and dark denim pants.

She appeared to have changed into the denim bottoms after wearing baggier black pants earlier in the day. Wearing her blonde hair in loose waves over her shoulders, Lawrence finished the look with red-tinted sunglasses, yellow shoes with a black pattern and a black handbag.

Still sporting her cropped hairstyle, Stone, 36, wore a black minidress and brown coat, accessorizing in black tights, chunky black shoes, sunglasses and large hoop earrings.

Lawrence and Stone are longtime friends, with the Poor Things actress having attended Lawrence's wedding to Maroney, 40, back in October 2019.

Stone was interviewed by Lawrence for an Elle cover story back in August 2018, where she said she has learned to value true friendship more than ever.

“I think friendship is pretty much everything,” Stone said. “Here’s another turning-30 thing I’ve realized: You pick your family. You realize that your friendships, the people who go with you into these next phases of your life — you’re choosing your family.”

Lawrence and Stone first became pals thanks to Woody Harrelson, who starred with the former in the Hunger Games franchise and the latter in Zombieland. He passed Lawrence’s number along to Stone when he realized the two actresses would hit it off.

“[Emma] texted me that she got my number from Woody,” Lawrence told Vanity Fair in November 2016. “I replied, 'F— off!’ And we’ve been really good friends ever since.”

After their initial conversation, Stone and Lawrence apparently texted each other every day for a year, cementing their bond. “I feel like it was our version of The Notebook — 365 texts,” the Don't Look Up actress joked to Vanity Fair.

The two have been inseparable ever since, and are often seen out together. They’ve been staples at each other’s major movie premieres in the past, and have often been photographed side by side at award shows and afterparties.

Another big life milestone (aside from being Oscar winners, of course) that Stone and Lawrence share? Motherhood!

Lawrence and and art-gallery director Maroney welcomed their first child, son Cy, in February 2022, while PEOPLE confirmed they'd become parents again on April 1.

Stone, meanwhile, tied the knot with Dave McCary in 2020. She and the Saturday Night Live director welcomed their first child, a daughter named Louise, in March 2021.
