Earlier this week, Jen celebrated her 56th birthday [February 11] and to commemorate the occasion, she shared a throwback childhood photo on Instagram. "Thank you for all the beautiful birthday wishes! 🎉🥳 This kid is feeling very grateful and very loved ❤️," she wrote to caption her post.
While we are all for Jen's birthday bonanza, what has us feeling all emosh is her hairstyle. The letterbox bangs paired with the black jersey headband were so ahead of the time and of course, adorable AF!
As hinted, letterbox bangs are so in RN and are going to be a big trend come spring 2025, according to hairstylist and contributing Cosmopolitan expert, Tom Smith. "Characterised by the perfect horizontal framing of the eyes (and brows in shorter versions), letterbox bangs are just the beginning of the various fringe styles we're likely to see throughout 2025," he says.
Continuing, Tom explains that the letterbox style is similar to Hepburn and Birkin bangs. "This look is 'piecey' and not overly thick so hints of the forehead can be seen through them."
