Jennifer Aniston wished her Friends co-star Courteney Cox on the latter’s 60th birthday on June 15 by sharing a bunch of pictures with the actress and a clip from their popular television show on Instagram. Jennifer also penned a note praising her ‘powerful, magical and mystical best friend for life’.
“Celebrating this powerful, magical, mystical, interesting, interested, ferociously talented girl today!!! My sweet CC @courteneycoxofficial… she’s funny like no other, STUNNING on the inside and out. Independent in the most gorgeous way, cares for everyone even if she doesn’t know you,” wrote Jennifer, acknowledging Courteney's unique sense of humour, stunning personality and caring nature. She even mentioned how Courteney bravely handles her fear of dogs by petting them.
The Murder Mystery actress went on to acknowledge her best friend’s fierce loyalty, drawing parallels between Courteney’s real-life persona and her iconic character Monica from Friends, known for her cleanliness and attention to detail.
“She’ll redecorate a room like nobody’s business. Spot a smudge on a window from a mile (literally) away. She doesn’t care what other people think!! I can’t imagine a world without her,” wrote Jennifer in her note.
“It’s one of my great honours to call her one of my best friends for life…Happy happy birthday CC. I love you,” the 55-year-old actress signed off.
The carousel also features Courteney’s daughter and Jennifer’s godchild Coco Arquette.
Also starring Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, Friends aired on NBC from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004. The cast reunited for an HBO Max unscripted television special titled Friends: The Reunion in May 2021. For Indian viewers, the reunion is available to stream on ZEE5. While Jennifer was last seen in Jeremy Garelick’s Murder Mystery 2 (2023) alongside Adam Sandler, Courteney reprised her role as Gale Weathers in the sixth instalment of the Scream film series last year.
