Whether it's her iconic claw clip from Friends or the nostalgic 'The Rachel' haircut, and more recently, a chin-grazing, side-parted bob, Jennifer Aniston has proved that she is the ultimate hairstyle muse time and time again.
But the latest hairstyle to add to your summer moodboard isn't another iteration of her shorter crop, nor a fresh take on her side parting, but rather a return to her long, golden blonde lengths. Reminiscent of her longest layers circa 2000, Aniston just revived a classic cut from the archives, signalling a departure from her new bob.
The actor posted an Instagram photo to reveal her return to filming The Morning Show, pictured alongside her friend Reese Witherspoon and Tig Notaro, and debuted her shiny-new hairstyle. 'Let the @thismorningshow season 4 games begin,' she wrote in the caption.
While this could in fact be a throwback post to a former hairstyle, it may also signal a new chapter for the Friends actress who, after months of experimenting with her bob, is ready to embrace a longer hairstyle again.
The actress soft launched a lob haircut earlier this year, debuting a mid-length cut which wasn't dissimilar to her iconic Fawcett-inspired nineties chop, before revealing a full jaw-grazing bob on the Golden Globes 2024 red carpet – the shortest her hair had ever been. More recently, it was the major side parting and poker-straight finish – a look referred to as the blunt bob – that went viral, sparking a resurgence for the nostalgic nineties hairstyle and the side part to resurface.
And it seems as though Aniston is ready for another shake-up. The latest instalment in her ever-changing rotation of hair inspiration sees her embracing a much longer hairstyle. Her hair colour has also undergone a colour refresh. Over the last few months, Aniston's hair has veered towards a slightly darker caramel tone, with hints of her natural hazelnut tones throughout.
In her latest post, however, Aniston is jumping on board the golden blonde brigade, joining a slew of famous faces – Emilia Clarke, Julia Roberts, et al- who are also embracing sun-kissed honey shades this summer.
