Jennifer Aniston brought back her iconic Friends look at the Golden Globes on Sunday, more than 20 years after first debuting the iconic hairdo dubbed “The Rachel”.
The Friends actress, 54, seemed to embody her 1990s character as she debuted a layered bob similar to Rachel Green’s.
In the past, she previously spoke out and said that she hated the legendary haircut because it was not her “best look”. Despite it becoming a major symbol of the show, it wasn’t a calculated move.
Her hairstylist at the time thought it would be good to change things up, so she swapped her long locks and fringe for the shorter look. Back in 2011 she told Allure Magazine: “I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen.”
Apparently, she fell in love with it initially but then grew to quickly dislike the hairdo. In 2018 at the InStyle awards, she said she thought it was “amazing”, before describing it as a “frizzy mop head”.
She said: “I got that haircut and was like, ‘Wow this is amazing’.”
Before adding joking: “And then I was totally left with this frizzy mop on my head.”
Jennifer said that she “had no idea how to do with it”, and questioned what her hairstylist did.
The Rachel hairstyle was high maintenance and required a blow dry every time she went out.

The Rachel Green look became increasingly popular in the 1990’s across the United States.
With the cut even becoming a trend across the pond with 11 million British women admitting to trying the cut.
Sporting her new golden tresses, Jennifer wowed fans as she showed off her slender frame in a stunning black gown at the awards ceremony.
The strapless gown teased a glimpse of her cleavage which nipped in her tiny waist.

In the elegant look, her outfit featured a sequin floor-length skirt.
She teamed it up by accessorising with sparkling jewellery.
During the awards which celebrate excellence in film and TV, the star attended in support of her show, The Morning Show.
The show was up for two awards, with Jennifer seen chatting to pal Selena Gomez.
Elsewhere, Selena Gomez, 31, was seen chatting to Taylor Swift, seemingly informing her of her awkward encounter with Timothee Chalamet.
The actress, who starred alongside him in 2018, reportedly asked for a photo but was turned down after Kylie Jenner said no.
Footage shows the pair sitting alongside Miles Teller’s wife Kayleight Sperry having an animated chat.
Selena appeared shocked before she was heard clarifying to Taylor when quizzed: “With Timothee?”, and she nodded.
