Wedding bells are in the air for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
In May 2023, the Amazon founder popped the question to Sánchez while the pair were vacationing in Europe. “When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,” she told Vogue in November 2023 while recalling the proposal.
As the couple geared up for wedding planning, Bezos weighed in on whether he would be involved in the process. “Oh, God, no. Do I look that dumb?” he quipped to Vogue.
“We’re still thinking about the wedding, what it’s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas?” Sánchez said at the time. “We don’t know yet. We’ve only been engaged five months!”

Nearly two years after Bezos and Sánchez’s engagement, Page Six reported in March 2025 that the pair sent out their wedding invitations. The outlet previously reported that the couple would be saying “I do” in June 2025.

Bezos and Sánchez are reportedly exchanging vows in Venice, Italy. In March 2025, Venice Mayor Luigi Brugnaro confirmed that the twosome would be getting hitched in the city.
“The many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos’ wedding are completely unfounded,” the mayor wrote in a statement obtained by People, noting that the guests would not cause disruptions to the city. “We are mutually working and supporting the organizers, to ensure that the event will be absolutely respectful of the fragility and uniqueness of the city.”
In February 2025, Page Six reported that the couple would be getting married on Bezos’ $500 million yacht, Koru.

For Sánchez, taking Bezos’ name after marriage is a no-brainer. “Uh, yes, 100 percent,” she told Vogue in November 2023. “I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos.”

Sánchez’s older brother, Paul, gushed to TMZ in March 2025 that he is “thrilled beyond belief” and did not have exact details about where the wedding would be located. However, Paul said that he suspected the celebration to be similar to Princess Diana’s 1981 nuptials with King Charles III.
“I think it’s gonna be, like, a Princess Di thing,” Paul told the outlet. “Just huge and fun, and just a blast.”
