The relationship between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt is one of the most infamous stories in Hollywood. Going from the it-couple of the industry into a cautionary tale about what can go wrong when two movie stars get too close, Pitt’s alleged infidelity with Angelina Jolie has become widely known.
The story has been told time and time again, with one easily assuming that he is not on good terms with either of his ex-wives. While it is common knowledge that this is the case for Jolie, with their very messy legal troubles still going on, it would seem that the same cannot be said about Aniston’s relationship with Pitt.
The FRIENDS actress once revealed that she still holds her relationship with Pitt close to her heart, going as far as to say that she will always love him.
Jennifer Aniston did not regret her relationship with Brad Pitt
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were married from 2000 to 2005. During this time, they were a couple that everyone in Hollywood wanted to be with, with Pitt most famously appearing in FRIENDS and several more instances of their passionate connection.
However, a lot changed when Pitt signed onto Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and soon, Angelina Jolie was married to him, and Aniston was pushed to the side. One would assume that regardless of how mature and kind she was at that time, nothing would make her say kind words about Pitt.
However, during an interview with Vanity Fair a year after they parted ways, the actress talked about her dead relationship in a rare light. Instead of painting Pitt as a villain or airing any of their laundry out, Aniston took a stance of appreciation.
I still feel so lucky to have experienced it. I wouldn’t know what I know now if I hadn’t been married to Brad.
She stated that she was very glad about the time that she and Pitt spent together and even added that she does not know where she would have ended up in her life had that not happened.
Jennifer Aniston said that she would always love Brad Pitt
After talking about the time they spent together, Jennifer Aniston did something very bold and stated that she had a lot of love for Brad Pitt and it would continue forever. While she did not clarify if this love was in regards to their connection and dynamic or romantic, she did state that she did not regret anything that went down between them.
I love Brad; I really love him. I will love him for the rest of my life. He’s a fantastic man. I don’t regret any of it, and I’m not going to beat myself up about it. We spent seven very intense years together; we taught each other a lot—about healing and about fun.
Aniston even went as far as to say that she did not want to feel guilty about the fact that she did not regret her marriage with Pitt, even if it ended in turmoil for her. She believed that the time that they spent together was very precious and was very educational for both of them.
We helped each other through a lot, and I really value that. It was a beautiful, complicated relationship,
As the years have gone on, Aniston and Pitt have become even closer, with a source telling US Weekly that they have built a friendship over the years. Having grown as people and gone through several phases of life, they seemed to have moved past all that happened and have learned to exist as friends in each other’s lives.
