Megan Fox has revealed that she bought books written by transgender children for her son Noah – after he developed a desire to wear dresses.
Appearing on the cover of Glamour UK's April issue, the actress, 35, claimed that she encourages her brood to express themselves through clothing 'however they want' while assuring it has nothing to do with their sexuality.
Megan shares Noah, nine, Bodhi, eight, and Journey, five, with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green, who she was married to between 2010 and 2021. She got engaged to musician Machine Gun Kelly in January of this year.
Speaking about her struggles as a mother, the Teen Choice Award winner went on to cryptically admit she 'worries' about one child who 'suffers', adding that she 'wishes humanity was not like this'.
However, ultimately Megan said that she wants to teach all three of her children that they can 'express themselves through clothing however they want' and hopes to ensure that none of them feel 'weird or strange or different'.
'I do have a child that suffers': Megan Fox revealed to Glamour UK that she has bought books written by transgender children after her son Noah, nine, developed a desire to wear dresses
Doting mother: The actress, 35, said that she encourages her entire brood, including Noah (pictured in 2020 while on an outing with his father), to express themselves through clothing 'however they want' while assuring them it has nothing to do with their sexuality
She told the magazine: 'I bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is.
'Some of the books are written by transgender children. Some of the books are just about how you can be a boy and wear a dress; you can express yourself through your clothing however you want. And that doesn't even have to have anything to do with your sexuality.
'So from the time they were very young, I've incorporated those things into their daily lives so that nobody feels like they are weird or strange or different.'
Speaking about her fears over her son Noah, Megan – who graces April's Glamour UK cover in a futuristic silver look – admitted that she 'worries' about the nine year old's 'suffering', but added that the youngster is 'so brave'.
'I do have a child that suffers,' she said. 'So I have a lot of worries about that, because I just wish that humanity was not like this.
'Although my kid is so brave and my child is so brave and I know that they've chosen this journey for a reason. It's just hard as a mom.'
Megan previously revealed Noah is sometimes taunted by other boys at school for wearing dresses, though she added that he 'doesn't mind' their teasing.
While chatting on The View in 2019, Megan opened up about young Noah's impeccable style.
'He designs, he draws outfits. He's very talented, but he's still six,' she said.

Discussing: She said: 'Even… here in California, he still has little boys going like, 'Boys don't wear dresses,' or 'Boys don't wear pink'' (Megan pictured with her three sons: (L-R) Journey, Noah and Bodhi)
'He's really into fashion. He's the one, like sometimes, he'll dress himself and he likes to wear dresses, sometimes.
'And I send him to a really liberal, like hippy school,' she continued. 'But even there, here in California, he still has little boys going like, 'Boys don't wear dresses,' or 'Boys don't wear pink.''
Despite the taunts from other boys, Megan has been teaching her son to follow his own course in life.
'We're going through that now, where I'm trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says.'
The Transformers star explained that Noah had stopped wearing dresses for a while, though he wore one again this week.
'He came home and I was like, 'How was it? Did any of the friends at school have anything to say?' And he was like, 'Well, all the boys laughed when I came in,' but he's like, 'I don't care, I love dresses too much.''
Megan's exhusband, Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green, stood up for his son in 2017 when his then-wife shared a photo of Noah wearing a dress from the Disney film Frozen.
Megan's ex-husband Brian Austin Green previously defended Noah's outfit choices. 'My son, he's four. I've heard from some people that they don't agree with him wearing dresses. To them I say, I don't care'; pictured together in 2014
'My son, he's four,' he said at the time. 'I've heard from some people that they don't agree with him wearing dresses. To them I say, I don't care. He's four and if he wants to wear it then he wears it.
'And it's dresses or goggles or slippers or whatever. It's his life, they're not my clothes,' he continued. 'I feel like at 4 at 5, that's a time when he should be having fun. He's not harming anyone wearing a dress. So if he wants to wear a dress, good on him.'
Megan has shared multiple photos of Noah to her Instagram, where he's usually pictured rocking a shaggy hairdo and sometimes wearing stereotypically feminine clothing.

Parenthood was not the only topic broached in the tell-all interview, as Megan also lifted the lid on her highly-publicised romance with Colson Baker, who professionally goes by Machine Gun Kelly.
A palatial trip to Costa Rica last year, in Megan's words, 'bound them together' after they consumed the psychoactive plant brew ayahuasca, administered by a shaman, which is said to open the mind and heal past trauma.

Of that bonding experience, she recalled: 'It confirmed a lot of things for us that I needed to know or I needed to feel. It opened a door for a lot of healing for me, from a personal experience I had with him, that allowed us to get to a place where we were now seeking the right outlets to heal moving forward.'

She explained: 'Because he's literally my exact physical type that I've been manifesting since I was four. I'm also four years older than him.
'So, I think I made him. My thoughts and intentions grew him into the person that he is, who knows what he would've looked like or been like if it wasn't for me.'

She added: 'Nobody's really interacting with them too much, because they're just stuck… We've been to Vegas with them a couple of times and events and things like that.
'But we're not going on picnics or road trips, we don't have a lot of double dates. I mean, between all of us, there's 900 kids!'
