Salma Hayek started her Hollywood career almost three decades ago, and some of her fans are convinced she hasn’t aged a day.
The Frida actress shared a video on Instagram where she took the time to thank her fans after she hit 29 million followers on the platform, prompting many of them to comment on her youthful appearance.
“For all of you who like kind of freaky things with numbers, here’s an interesting one. Twenty-nine years ago I was 29, and that’s when my career kind of went global,” the actress said in the Instagram video. “So I’d like to thank all of you. Twenty-nine million followers!” she cheered.
Hayek, 58, continued, saying that she “couldn’t have made it without you” before repeating the sentiment in Spanish.
And while plenty of fans in the comments shared their love for her right back, writing “Salma you are a gift to us 🥹🙏🏽” and “Are you really thanking us? Do you have any idea how much you mean to us and how essential your existence is?” many focused on how great she looked in the video.
“You look 29,” wrote one fan, while another agreed, writing “I can't believe that's how old she is😮.”
One fan gushed in Spanish that “the inner beauty that shines from you is so beautiful,” while another also wrote in the star’s native language that “it’s impressive to see how your talent has won over the hearts of so many people.”
Hayek recently celebrated another milestone, sharing a sweet tribute to her lookalike daughter Valentina on her 17th birthday. In an Instagram post full of heartwarming pictures and videos of her daughter through the years, Hayek said Valentina “makes me laugh all day, teaches me so many things, keeps me motivated.”
