‘Die, My Love’ First Look: Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson & LaKeith Stanfield Topline New Thriller From Lynne Ramsay

EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has the first still from Die, My Love, starring Jennifer Lawrence, Robert Pattinson and LaKeith Stanfield, the new thriller from renowned Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay (You Were Never Really Here), which adapts the 2017 novel by Ariana Harwicz.

Set in rural America, Die, My Love is a portrait of a woman (Lawrence) engulfed by love and madness. Pattinson plays her husband, and Stanfield, her lover. Also in the cast are Sissy Spacek and Nick Nolte.

Ramsay directed from her script written with Enda Walsh. Producers included Justine Ciarrocchi and Lawrence on behalf of Excellent Cadaver, as well as Martin Scorsese, Andrea Calderwood, and Black Label Media, which also served as the project’s financier.

In a statement accompanying the photo reveal, Excellent Cadaver told Deadline, “It’s impossible to convey what it’s like to witness Lynne Ramsay make art. She’s one of one.”

Known for her Cannes-debuting drama Ratcatcher, as well as films like We Need to Talk About Kevin and Morvern Callar, Ramsay is coming off of You Were Never Really Here, a thriller starring Joaquin Phoenix, which won her the Cannes Best Screenplay award, releasing in 2017.

Most recently seen starring in Sony’s acclaimed sex comedy No Hard Feelings, Lawrence’s most recently announced new projects include A24’s graphic novel adaptation Why Don’t You Love Me?, as well as Apple/A24’s Real Housewives-inspired murder mystery The Wives.

Next to be seen in Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17, which has pushed back its release from January to April, Pattinson’s slate also includes A24’s The Drama opposite Zendaya, The Batman Part II, and the crime reporting pic Primetime, which is in early development, also at A24.

Recently starring in projects like The Changeling, The Book of Clarence, and Haunted Mansion, Stanfield will be seen coming up in Amazon MGM’s Play Dirty, Neon’s I Love Boosters, Paramount/Miramax’s Roofman, and more.
