Angelina Jolie has arrived at the 82nd-annual Golden Globes ceremony.
The movie star made a glamorous red-carpet entrance at the Beverly Hilton hotel wearing a bedazzled, long-sleeved McQueen gown, which featured painterly diagonal streaks of sparkling sequins in black and silver. She accessorized with Messika jewelry.
Jolie brought her 19-year-old daughter, Zahara Jolie, as her date. For the occasion, Zahara supported her mom in an elegant white gown with a black tree pattern stitched along the side.

Tonight, Jolie is nominated in the category of Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for her titular role in Pablo Larraín’s Maria, a biopic about opera diva Maria Callas. Others nominated in the same category are Pamela Anderson for The Last Showgirl, Nicole Kidman for Babygirl, Tilda Swinton for The Room Next Door, Fernanda Torres for I’m Still Here, and Kate Winslet for Lee.
Jolie previously talked about how she relates to the character of Callas in an August 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“I’m sure there’s a lot that will be read into it of our overlaps as women, but the one that’s maybe not the most obvious is I’m not sure how comfortable we both are with being public. And there was a pressure behind the working that wasn’t just the joy of the work,” she reflected. “And yet I do love to create, she does love to sing, but sometimes there are all these other things that take that joy away and change the experience of that. It was quite hard, what she went through. People were quite aggressive when she wasn’t able to be what they wanted her to be. They were very unkind, and she carried a lot of trauma, and she worked very, very hard. I just began to really care about her and wanted that aspect of the story to be told.”
