Angelina Jolie is staying in Paris — at least, as far as her movie roles are concerned.
On Tuesday, Nov. 19, multiple outlets reported that Jolie, 49, has set her next acting project with a movie titled Stitches, from French filmmaker Alice Winocour (2019's Proxima), who is making a movie in English for the first time.
As both Variety and Deadline reported, the movie is "set in the world of high fashion" and will largely take place in Paris. Variety reported that Jolie portrays a filmmaker and that her character is one of three women whose stories intersect during Paris Fashion Week.
Both outlets additionally noted the movie will be shot in French and English. Production is expected to begin in early 2025 in Paris, where Jolie notably shot her upcoming Netflix film Maria, which debuts on the streamer Dec. 11. No other cast members or plot details have been announced.

In Maria, Jolie portrays the late opera singer Maria Callas, who died in Paris in 1977 of a heart attack at age 53. The new movie, directed by Pablo Larraín (Jackie, Spencer), "follows the American-Greek soprano as she retreats to Paris after a glamorous and tumultuous life in the public eye," per a synopsis, which adds that the film tracks Callas "in her final days as the diva reckons with her identity and life."
Jolie's latest movie made its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in August and subsequently played at the Telluride Film Festival and New York Film Festival in the fall, all at which she received standing ovations and praise from film critics for her performance as Callas. On Sept. 4, a source close to the actress told PEOPLE Jolie was "overwhelmed and so grateful for all the positive feedback about" the film.
