For most people, a day at the airport means wearing sweatpants and slip-ons. But Angelina Jolie isn’t most people.
The Oscar-winning actor made a fashionable arrival at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday, where she opted for a minimalist luxury look in an outfit composed of warm neutrals and punctuated by her take on this season’s It bag.
It’s no secret the Those Who Wish Me Dead star is a fan of Saint Laurent’s bags. In particular, she’s often spotted carrying the brand’s Icare tote, a massive shopping bag made of supple quilted black leather. However, for Monday’s outing, she swapped her go-to style for a more summery iteration. The piece shared the classic Icare’s slouchy shape and silhouette, and similarly bore the Saint Laurent logo in gold hardware at the front. But this version was made of raffia rather than lambskin, adding an uncharacteristically casual touch to Jolie’s on-the-move look.
As for the rest of her outfit, the actor looked polished in a lightweight double-breasted trench coat in a pale creamy color, which she belted at her waist. She paired the coat with some scrunched heeled boots in black and dark sunglasses.

The airport sighting comes nearly a week after Jolie won her first Tony for producing The Outsiders, a musical based on S.E. Hinton’s 1967 novel of the same name. “This is about family, and it’s about community,” she said of the Broadway production during a rare appearance on the Today show in May. “It doesn’t stay away from the darker sides of life and the lot that we have to discuss and the lot that we’re feeling. But in the end, it’s what gets us through, and that is family.”
