Get ready to fall in love all over again! Disney is celebrating the th anniversary of the animated Beauty and the Beast in the best way possible: by giving us a viral first look at Emma Watson as Belle.
While fans were treated to a brief teaser trailer back in May, a new behind-the-scenes clip is currently taking social media by storm. The footage reveals an intimate look at the live-action movie’s table read, where Emma Watson and co-star Dan Stevens (who plays the Beast) sit side-by-side, bringing the “tale as old as time” to life for the very first time.
The chemistry between the two is already sparking major conversation on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. In the snippet, director Bill Condon opens up about the daunting task of reimagining a masterpiece, revealing exactly why he decided to take on the project.
“I was so excited to celebrate the original,” Condon explains in the preview, noting that the live-action version aims to refashion the classic characters for a contemporary audience while staying true to the beloved music.
