The Boy Who Lived… and the costars who crushed!

Rupert Grint is finally weighing in on the decade-long rumors surrounding a potential off-screen romance between his Harry Potter costars, Emma Watson and Tom Felton.

While promoting his AppleTV+ series The Servant, the -year-old actor sat down with Entertainment Tonight and dropped a magical bombshell: he definitely noticed some chemistry between the pair back in the day.

“There was always something. There was a little bit of a spark,” Grint revealed, much to the delight of “Dramione” shippers everywhere.

Despite the internet’s obsession with the duo, Grint was careful not to stir the pot too much. He noted that their connection was very much a product of their environment.

“We were kids. It was like any kind of playground romance,” he explained with a laugh.

As for his own love life during the filming of the eight-movie saga? Grint joked that he wasn’t exactly feeling the magic in that department.

“I didn’t have any sparks. I was spark-free,” he quipped.

The comments come at a time when Watson, , and Felton, , seem closer than ever. The two frequently pop up on each other’s Instagram feeds, sharing sweet snaps of beach days, dinners, and even a viral video where Felton teaches Watson how to play the guitar.

The Little Women actress recently made headlines for her British Vogue cover story, where she coined the term “self-partnered” to describe her relationship status.

“I never believed the whole ‘I’m happy single’ spiel,” Watson told the magazine. “It took me a long time, but I’m very happy. I call it being self-partnered.”

Felton was quick to jump on board with his former costar’s new terminology. Speaking to MailOnline, the actor praised Watson’s outlook on modern dating.

“I like it! It’s the first I’ve heard of [the term] but it’s great,” Felton said. “I’m in the same category, to be honest with you, quite happily self-partnered.”

He added, “I think you need to love yourself before you can love anyone else, so that’s a start.”

While they may both be “self-partnered” for now, Felton clearly cherishes the bond they’ve maintained since their days at Hogwarts.

“She’s an incredibly smart and lovely young lady,” he said. “It’s always nice to bump into each other and slightly reminisce about old times but also about looking forward to the future.”

Reps for Felton and Watson did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment, but fans are already taking to X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok to celebrate the “spark” confirmation.

Whether they’re just BFFs or something more, it’s clear the magic between Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy isn’t fading anytime soon.
