The March sisters are officially ready for their close-up!

Fans are losing it after stars Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, and Eliza Scanlen were spotted on the set of Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated adaptation of Little Women. The actresses were seen filming in the picturesque town of Harvard, Massachusetts, looking every bit like the iconic literary siblings.

The internet is already buzzing over the first glimpses of the cast in costume. In photos that have quickly gone viral, the four ladies are seen bundled up in period-accurate capes and bonnets, walking arm-in-arm through a flurry of fake snow.

The upcoming film, based on the classic Louisa May Alcott novel, follows the four March sisters as they navigate the highs and lows of growing up, from romantic rivalries and financial struggles to heartbreaking family tragedies.

This project marks a major reunion for Saoirse Ronan and director Greta Gerwig, who previously teamed up for the Oscar-nominated Lady Bird. Fans are also thrilled to see Ronan reunite with her former costar Timothée Chalamet, who is set to play her character’s charming love interest, Laurie.

The casting for this adaptation is nothing short of legendary. While Ronan takes on the fiercely independent Jo March, Florence Pugh (known for Lady Macbeth) will play Amy, and Sharp Objects breakout star Eliza Scanlen takes on the role of the gentle Beth.

Emma Watson stars as the eldest sister, Meg—a role she stepped into earlier this year. Interestingly, Watson took over the part from Emma Stone, who had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

Social media users have been quick to point out the “Hollywood irony” of the switch. Watson was famously considered for Stone’s Oscar-winning role in La La Land before the roles were essentially swapped for this production.

Rounding out the A-list ensemble is the legendary Meryl Streep as the formidable Aunt March and Laura Dern as the family’s beloved matriarch, Marmee.

With Gerwig at the helm and a cast full of Hollywood’s brightest young stars, the countdown to the holiday season is officially on.

Little Women is set to hit theaters on Dec. , .
