Is This Our First Listen? A Leaked Belle Doll Might Have Just Revealed Emma Watson’s Singing Voice in ‘Beauty and the Beast’

The anticipation for Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast has been nothing short of palpable, but there is one major question that has kept fans on the edge of their seats: Can Emma Watson actually sing?

While the trailers for the upcoming musical have broken records and stunned audiences with gorgeous visuals, the studio has been notoriously tight-lipped about the film’s songs. We’ve seen the library and the yellow dress, but we haven’t heard a single note—until now.

In a viral moment that has set Instagram and X (Twitter) ablaze, a fan account may have just delivered the “Something There” snippet we’ve all been waiting for. And interestingly enough, the source isn’t a high-def movie trailer—it’s a toy.

A recording, reportedly taken from a new Hasbro singing Belle doll spotted in stores, features a voice that sounds suspiciously like the Harry Potter alum. In the clip, the voice performs a few lines from “Something There,” the iconic Alan Menken and Howard Ashman track where Belle first realizes her feelings for the Beast.

“I am officially floored,” wrote the fan who first shared the clip. “If she wasn’t perfect enough, this has absolutely nailed her as Belle!”

Followers were quick to jump into the comments, with one fan writing, “I’ve been so nervous to hear her voice, but this sounds exactly like I imagined Belle would sound in !” Another added, “It’s definitely not the original Paige O’Hara version, which means… it’s Emma!”

While we have to take this with a grain of salt until Disney drops an official studio version, the voice in the recording captures that signature blend of intelligence and sweetness that Watson brings to all her roles.

This would mark the first time the world hears Watson sing on screen. Despite her massive career, she hasn’t yet flexed her vocal cords in a film, making this Disney debut a high-stakes moment for the actress.

Of course, Belle isn’t the only one we’re waiting on. Fans are still holding their breath to hear Ewan McGregor’s “Be Our Guest” and Emma Thompson’s take on the titular “Beauty and the Beast.”

With the film set to hit theaters in March, Disney will likely keep us teased with small snippets. But if this doll is the real deal, it looks like Watson is more than ready to hold her own in the “Tale as Old as Time.”

Would you like me to keep an eye out for the official Disney confirmation of this clip?
