Gal Gadot is opening up about her health.
On Friday (February 6), the 40-year-old Wonder Woman actress looked back at being pregnant with her fourth daughter, Ori, in 2024, and revealed that she was diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition.
Keep reading to find out more…In her Instagram post, Gal revealed that she was was diagnosed with Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST), which is “a rare blood clot in one of your brain’s veins,” per the Cleveland Clinic.
“Two years ago today, I was walking through a very dark valley in my life,” Gal began. “Right beside that darkness, my daughter Ori was born, bringing an abundance of light into my world. Life is truly Yin and Yang… in every shadow, there is a spark of light, and within every light, there is a point of darkness.”
She continued, “For those who don’t know, I was in the late stages of my pregnancy when I suffered several blood clots in my brain. It was terrifying and painful. Staying alert and aware is what ultimately saved my life. (And the amazing doctors who took care of me). Always advocate for your health. This photo was taken just two weeks before I found out about my condition and Ori was born.”
Along with Ori, Gal and husband Jaron Varsano are also parents to daughters Alma, Maya, and Daniella.
“I am so deeply grateful for my life and for the lives of my loved ones,” Gal concluded. “Wishing us all health and endless light. Even when it feels dark, remember- there is always a point of light waiting for you to find it🤍”
