Vanderpump Rules: Lala Kent Denies Taking A Dig At Actress Megan Fox

By Mark Hernandez 01/31/2026

Star of Vanderpump Rules Lala Kent is defending herself against criticism over her alleged shade towards Megan Fox. After she appeared to deliberately stand in front of Megan's portion of a movie poster and cover her name with an Instagram Story caption, many were convinced Lala was purposely taking a jab at Megan for skipping Randall Emmett's movie premiere. After the seemingly mean girl move made media headlines, Lala decided to do some damage control and clear up misconceptions about the night. Megan is starring in her fiancée's film alongside Bruce Willis, so it would be wise of Lala to play nice and not get her movie exec beau into any trouble in Hollywood.

Many were surprised by Lala's possible jab at Megan after they spent most of 2020 being BFFs. Lala and Randall attended double date nights with Megan and Machine Gun Kelly, which led to Lala having issues with her co-star Scheana Shay. Scheana accused Lala of flaking on her to go hang out with Megan and MGK. By July 2020, Megan and MGK appeared on Lala and Randall's podcast, Give Them Lala…With Randall and had their astrology read in another double date style encounter. All the while, Megan appeared on set with Randall as a lead in his directorial debut Midnight In the Switchgrass. But things went left at the movie premiere last week when Lala appeared bothered by Megan and MGK's absence at the premiere. When posing in front of the movie poster, Lala looked like she purposely blocked out Megan's face and name.

But Lala insists she did not shade Megan, and if she did, everyone would know. "I'm not very subtle when I shade people," she told Access Hollywood. "If I was upset, I would have just straight up said it. Unfortunately, the headline is way more interesting than what I'm about to tell you." The Bravo star is known for keeping it real and addressing the hard-hitting quarrels she constantly finds herself in. While she has been known to engage in petty feuds in the past, this time around, Lala is attempting to make peace with her Hollywood friends. "My mom quickly took a picture of me. I was just standing next to the poster," Lala explained. "She said, 'Pose, I want to get a picture.' I quickly said, 'I'm excited for the movie,' and posted it and then went in to watch the film."

Lala says she had no other intentions in the post, but it somehow was spun into an alleged feud between the Vanderpump Rules star and actress that neither was expecting. "I had no idea that people would take it the way that they did," Lala continued. "If anybody understands a COVID concern, it's me," she said in reference to Megan skipping the premiere because of COVID-19 precautions. "If you have a concern, I want you to stay home. I want you to feel safe." Recently, Lala doubled down on making peace with Megan and clarified that she was no trying to take a jab at the Transformers star.

However, there are still fans who are calling her bluff and think Lala is just doing damage control. Considering how her caption on the post was placed perfectly over Megan's name, it leaves the speculation open on whether it was done on purpose. While Lala's alleged shade is perfect for her Vanderpump Rules co-stars, it's not something she can bring into the Hollywood industry. Megan worked alongside Randall in the first film he ever directed. That shouldn't be overshadowed by his fiancé possibly taking a dig at one of the film's stars.
