Love Is Blind season 6 cast member Chelsea Blackwell finally addressed the Megan Fox controversy after her fleeting comment about her celebrity lookalike made her go viral on the Internet. Chelsea is a 31-year-old flight attendant and event planner from North Carolina who told Love Is Blind season 6 contestant Jimmy Presnell that she’s often been told she looks like “Machine Gun Kelly's wife or his fiancée.” Chelsea said it was because of her dark hair and blue eyes. While Chelsea herself said she didn’t see it in the pods, Jimmy expressed his disappointment when he finally met Chelsea and confessed she had lied to him about her appearance.
Love Is Blind season 6 star Chelsea posted a video of herself dancing to Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” while holding a drink in her hand.
Chelsea captioned the post, "Go on a show for love > get your butt dragged through the trenches.” Fans used Chelsea’s comment section to let her know their thoughts about the controversy.
Chelsea's Friend Slams Fans For Taking Love Is Blind "Too Seriously"
While Chelsea made her caption and dance do the talking, she did let her friend talk on her behalf about what happened on Love Is Blind (via People). Chelsea’s friend Presley Carter used her private account to share an Instagram Story, tagging Chelsea. “Thank you all who are from our hometown and known Chels for all of your love and support for her through this!” She wrote that it had been exciting for her to watch Chelsea on screen. Presley wrote that the experience has also been “very hard” for her because of people who are so mean on social media and the Internet.
Her message was for viewers who “take reality TV way too seriously.” Presley continued, “Like it’s a show y'all, we need to cool it [winking face emoji]." Presley explained that fans who are criticizing the Love Is Blind cast members need to understand that they are “real people” with feelings and emotions, who have families and friends reading the comments. “We’re ALL imperfect, all trying our best,” she said before implying that the Love Is Blind editors “want to get drama and tell a narrative."
Jimmy noted that at the end of the day, it didn’t matter about how Chelsea looked. He said he was attracted to her, and he was going to work with that. Jimmy immediately asked Chelsea if they could get married after assuming she was the Transformers actor’s twin. Chelsea and Jimmy didn’t get along at their honeymoon, where she kept asking Jimmy if he loved her. The Love Is Blind couple’s relationship then took a turn for the worse when Chelsea saw how impressed Jimmy was with fellow cast member AD’s appearance at a party.
