Nikki Exotika is facing a serious health scare.
The 90 Day Fiancé alum, 42, is recovering from a recent breast reconstruction surgery that took a frightening turn, leaving her “very weak” and in pain after suffering excessive bleeding during the procedure. One of Nikki’s close friends took over her Instagram on October 15 to update her followers on the reality star’s condition and ask for prayers as she continues to heal.
Nikki, who appeared on season 10 of the TLC series, has been open with her fans about her ongoing struggles with her breast implants. Back in August, she posted a candid video explaining that she would need “a barrage of surgeries” to address complications from a 2019 procedure that left her with an infection and severe scar tissue. Her doctors planned to remove the scar tissue, perform fat grafting, and replace the implants.
While Nikki successfully went under the knife, things quickly became complicated afterward. In a post shared to her Instagram Stories, her friend Mike explained what happened.

“Nikki wasn’t doing well after a very complicated surgery,” he wrote. “The only explanation I received was that her blood was very thin which caused her excessive bleeding during surgery and blood pressure keeps dropping to a concerning level to be kept overnight under analysis. She admitted to me she took Advil a few days before for her headaches which contains NSAID, she’s very weak. She refused a blood transfusion. Her family and I are very worried. Right now we are just praying she will pull through.”
Taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), like Advil, before surgery can increase the risk of excessive bleeding, according to the National Library of Medicine.
Thankfully, after several tense hours, Mike returned with a hopeful update, revealing that doctors administered blood pressure medication, which stabilized her condition. By the following day, Nikki was able to return home.

“I’m very weak and in a lot of pain,” Nikki wrote in a new Instagram post, thanking fans for their well-wishes. “I’m still draining a lot of blood after my breast reconstruction surgery.”
She also reflected on the long journey that led to this operation, noting that it “should’ve been done a few years ago, but I had a lot going on in my life, and now it’s time to take care of it. I need to gain 15 pounds, because they need to do fat grafting, a capsulectomy, and exchange of implants.”
Despite the frightening ordeal, Nikki remains positive and grateful to be alive. “All I will say is I’m lucky to be alive right now!” she wrote in the caption.
